"I know what you’re thinking. “Why should I trust Audra and Happy Campers Preschool with my cutie-patootie?” I know this because I thought that, too, with my first child. It’s a scary thing to trust another person with our beloved babies!! But I had nothing to worry about, and you don’t either. How do I know this? Because all three of my kids have now attended Happy Campers—we’ve been with Audra and her amazing group of teachers for almost ten years! At Happy Campers, not only did my kids learn what they needed to learn to be successful in kindergarten, they also learned the social and emotional tools to be successful with their peers. Through imagined play, engaged learning, and loads of fun and laughter, my kids grew and thrived at Happy Campers. Audra cares for more than just the kids—she truly cares about us as parents, too. Whether she caught me crying in the parking lot after some toddler tantrum got me down or out and about on Laurel Street talking to other moms about said tantrum (my kids and my own!), she always made time to check in and see how I was doing. My children and I weren’t just numbers to her—we were part of the Happy Campers family, and she cared about our well-being. When I think back to ten years ago, I thought then the saddest day was dropping my child off with “strangers.” I was wrong. The saddest day will be having my last child graduate and saying goodbye to Audra and those “strangers” who became part of our family. If I ever have an “oops!” I won’t be worried about knocking on Happy Campers door again—I almost relish them saying, “You again?!” Happy Campers Preschool. It’s more than a school. It’s family. (Unless you don’t like your family, in which case, it’s just a very, very good school!)" ❤️JJ King
